What can we learn from the Basque Country about creating an economy based on solidarity, care and collective action? This talk introduces OlatuKoop, a network of cooperatives and social initiatives working towards a transformative social economy grounded in antiracism, ecology, feminism and care.
We’ll explore the five cooperative waves that have shaped the Basque experience — from Mondragón’s industrial roots to today’s ecofeminist cooperativism — and reflect on what these lessons offer for building more just and caring societies.
