Justice for Migrant Workers! Meet Community House

Fredag 30.10

14:00 – 14:45

Scene: TBD

Talk

We see migrant workers all over the city, driving around on bikes with square delivery bags carrying food and big company logos. But in reality they are all over our labour market: in hospitality, logistics, agriculture, facilities and construction.

What are the realities facing migrant workers in Denmark? What can we do to ensure their rights? And where are the trade unions?

Community House Copenhagen is an organisation that specialises in addressing the challenges faced by the growing number of migrant workers in Denmark. Through a holistic approach that encompasses all aspects of migrants’ lives, Community House works to help migrant workers get unionized.

The migrants are an equal part of the projects in Community House, and at this year's Fabrika Festival you have a unique chance to meet the people behind and hear about their work.

Last year they succeeded in publishing the street magazine Folk på vej and they also supported the big Wolt demonstrations organized by the couriers demanding a higher salary.
