Collective Financing: International Experiences with Koop57
With Koop57 and Grundfond
How can you finance your business or project in a way that prioritises solidarity over profit? Come and meet Koop57, an ethical and solidarity-based financial cooperative rooted in the Basque Country.
Visiting from the Basque Country Jone Otxoa from Koop57 will introduce their model: Who invests and how much? What kinds of projects are supported? And what kind of returns and interest rates can investors expect? We’ll also take a closer look at the vision behind Koop57 and the idea of a self-sustaining economy governed by the community.
The presentation will be followed by a conversation with Balder Johansen from the board of Grundfond about the potentials and challenges of cooperative and solidarity-based financing in a Danish context. Denmark does not currently have an equivalent model – why not? What barriers stand in the way and what can we learn from Koop57?
The conversation will be moderated by Frederik Johannisson, Political Advisor, Logik & Co.
The session is open to everyone, both those dreaming of financing their own cooperatives or collective projekts and those simply curious about alternative forms of economy and finance.
Accessibility: The session will be held in English
